Cleaning and disinfection regimes may be enough for day-to-day control of contamination, but they don’t necessarily eliminate all environmental micro-organisms — in some cases these can persist in factories for several years. Sterilisation fogging treats both the air and every surface, and is used where an area of a site may have been compromised.
A sterilisation technique that creates a dry or wet mist, eliminating a high percentage of — if not all — the pathogens that conventional cleaning can’t reach. It is a long-established way of sterilising an entire area, including walls, ceilings, furnishings, carpets and floors.
Extremely effective. The biocides used are proven to work against viruses, fungi, spores and bacteria such as Influenza, MRSA, C. difficile and Norovirus, and conform to the EU Standards Biocide Directive.
That depends on the liquid used. Some fogging products use hydrogen peroxide, with a pH of 2–3 (acidic), which can seriously damage soft furnishings and the fabric of a building. SteriZar has a pH of 7–8 — similar to rainwater — so it can be used in any environment without removing furnishings or sealing vents.
Thermal (dry) foggers produce small droplets that stay airborne for some time and reach nearly all of the airspace. Cold fogging fills a room with a fine 5–50 micron mist that stays suspended long enough to kill airborne contamination, then settles on every surface — including those conventional cleaning never touches — to kill surface contamination and help prevent cross-contamination.
Positively charged ions in the SteriZar formulation help it adhere to any surface the mist reaches, including the underside of furniture, walls and ceilings.
A compact, lightweight cold fogger with a 3.5 litre capacity. It is long range and low noise, and a variable nozzle gives full control of particle size and output — so it suits both large-scale treatments and specialist sanitisation of isolated areas.
